Coming attractions : tribute to Chabrol.

True, « fmff » is partial to Claude Chabrol, as one is to good food and wine and a sharp critical mind.

We will have a look at the director’s easy way of life and filmmaking, then visit one of the later additions to his garden of over sixty movies : « La fleur du mal », a pleasurable and poisonous flower, like most in his flower-beds.

To close the week, a side trip will take us to Jean Poiret, « a queer Zebra » and Chabrol’s Inspecteur Lavardin, who might have become the director’s own and older Antoine Doinel, had he not prematurely left the shooting stage for a supposedly better world.
